carrera xs final test in korea

the safety and performance of this wing is amazing, the pilot is also a master with perfect inputs (a beginner in these same situations could panic and escalate the issue into a dangerous one).

dude that is a wild landing, seems you caught a thermal right before touchdown, great safe recovery, bravo!

High density bird flight patterns and adventurous girls!

Ok this is not directly related to paragliding but I just have to share because it is about flight and adventure and just down right made me smile.  Yay for nature, birds and adventurous girls!

Perfect day paragliding with friends in Germany

Now this is a perfect day with friends if you are a paraglider pilot.  Appears to be in Germany and this is their web site http://www.dboemstroafer.com/

Raul Rodriguez testing the KI

Now this is cool, the designer testing his new design on camera, the new KI.  Looks to be a safe and fast B rated paraglider wing.  Now to see how it looks when a normal pilot flies it :-)

Olivier Fritz Ground Kiting Annecy

This video brought tears to my eyes literally.  Oliver is a true master at handling his wing on the ground.  Just look at the perfect astro turf!!!  More sites like this please :-)  No more rocks and goat weed on our pretty wings.

Thanks Blake Pelton for this link.  He makes super awesome knee mounts for gopro's btw.

A TRIBUTE: LLOYD PENNICUIK & BRUNO DELOUSTAL

Both flew and lived life on their terms, it wasn't paragliding that got em in the end.  Who knows when your time will come, live your best.

Japanese Paraglider pilot spends night in a tree!

Some good points to learn from this article.

Just in case:

  • Always bring water and preferably food even when planning a short flight.
  • A stash of warm clothing and your wing can serve as a blanket.
  • 2 communications devices - cell phone and radio, can't say either one will work perfectly or that there will be a cell tower within reach.
  • Let people know when you are flying and where.
  • Have a GPS so you can give your rescue crew a specific location to find you, this could save many hours of suffering needlessly if they have to search large areas trying to find you.

Interesting French Paragliding Magazine (online version)

Well I don't read French but Europe is definitely ahead of the USA for paragliding so get current news here, I cheat and use google translate to translate the page.  If you don't know how to do that ask me.
